Andrea Townsend is a contemporary painter residing in Indianapolis, IN. She is a graduate of Herron School of Art and Design with a BFA in painting. She has been practicing professionally since 2014. Her most recent work includes mixed media portraits and abstracts that depict urban landscapes, along with interactive pieces that alter image perception with movement and reflection. She focuses on mixed materials and the use of light in her paintings. She uses her appreciation of architecture to create her own urban atmospheres. Inspirations for her work include material, cities, architecture, and the process of building, both literally and metaphorically. She works out of her studio in downtown Indianapolis, IN, where she resides.

Floral Design

K Florals — Robyn K. Harder, founder and principal designer.

Her studio specializes in fine art floral design, creating bespoke, painterly arrangements for weddings, events, installations, and editorials. She's inspired by Dutch Golden Age still lifes, especially Jan Davidsz de Heem and Rachel Ruysch, using precise placement, layering, natural movement, color, and texture for romantic, sculptural compositions. With an English degree and over a decade in public relations, she transitioned to floristry and now has studios in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Monterey, California. She also donates post-event florals to Random Acts of Flowers and local charities, and hosts immersive fine art floristry workshops. Her accolades include the solo exhibition "Be Still" at ATELIER in Warsaw, Indiana, featuring eighteen floral still life photographs and live florals inspired by seventeenth-century Dutch painting.
